Talk Radio

In general terms the main stream media does not include talk radio or radio at all. I am wondering why this is? Radio offers so much more service for absolutely nothing. It is completely free to listen to the radio station of your choice. There's not expensive equipment to buy and no expensive or lavish newer radios that seriously outperform the outdated dial radios. Pretty much all radios are equal in value and performance. I right now have a radio without an antenna get just as good of a signal as a radio that comes through the computer via ethernet connection. I have put a paper clip in the slot of the antenna. I mean you cannot do that with a TV to improve the connection especially since they have switched the entire world over to digital signal(i must admit i enjoy digital signal better but its signal strength needs to be improved in my area.) Why then are radios not on the forfront of media discussion? They are timeless and hold a very special part of information technology. Lets improve the radio and make it more efficient to improve costs related to information.
